The State of Annapolis

Gavin was elected Mayor of Annapolis in November 2017, and was re-elected with overwhelming support in 2021. He is the only mayor to win re-election with a majority in 75 years. As Mayor, Gavin has worked to bring together business owners, community leaders, and residents to develop innovative ideas and economic opportunities for all parts of the city. Transformation of the City's budget management, a community-driven plan to revitalize City Dock and the Downtown area, saving Carr’s Beach from development and expanding water access, funding and delivering transformative infrastructure projects, and a re-envisioning of public housing, are just a few of his accomplishments.

Mayor Buckley continues to apply his creative leadership to drive projects that benefit all residents. His vision and legacy is a more vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive Annapolis with infrastructure, services, and events that make it a wonderful place to work and live for all.
